Our Meeting Rooms

Our meeting rooms are located in a dedicated key card access area on the first floor. The rooms all surround a central breakout area, complete with a tea and coffee machine, a range of detox waters and a catering service which is replenished throughout the day. Each room is fully air-conditioned and has an abundance of natural daylight with a built-in flat-screen TV and projector. Rooms are flexible in layout, holding up to 60 delegates in a theatre style.

The Grainger Suite

The Grainger suite is our largest meeting space taking up a corner position on the first floor. At 58m2 meters it is flexible on layout offering theatre style for up to 80 delegates or cabaret for 40

The Stephenson suite

The Stephenson suite is 42m2 and can accommodate up to 40 delegates theatre style. This bright airy room is ideal for presentations, seminars, training or evening networking.

The Dobson suite

On the other side of the breakout area and almost identical to the Stephenson suite, the Grainger will hold 40 delegates theatre style or 24 cabaret making it ideal for smaller conferences and presentations

The Armstrong Suite

Located at the centre of the meeting rooms, just off the break out area, the Armstrong suite is 22m2 so is the ideal location for boardroom meetings of up to 12 delegates or small theatre style meetings

  • Location & Parking

    Is there car parking at the hotel?

    No, Maldron Hotel Newcastle does not have a car park on-site. We suggest that you use Q-Park on Stowell street (NE1 4YB) which is only 3 minutes on foot from the hotel. Maldron guests receive a 20% discount.

    Where is the hotel located?

    The hotel entrance is on Newgate street in the centre of Newcastle, a 5-minute walk up Grainger Street from the central station. 

    How do I get to the hotel from the Airport?

    You can take the metro line to the Central station directly from the airport terminal, and then walk 5 minutes to the hotel. A taxi will take around 20 minutes.

    Are you close to St James’s Park?

    The hotel is around a 5-minute walk from St James’s park and is also very close to the gate and into Eldon square for shopping.

    Yes, all bedrooms have air conditioning.

    Is there a bar and restaurant on-site?

    Yes, our Grain & Grill bar and restaurant is located on the ground floor of the hotel and also has an outside courtyard.

    What time is the restaurant open?

    The Grain & Grill restaurant serves food from 11.00am until 9:30pm. Room service is available 24/7.

    Do you cater for different dietary requirements?

    Yes, the hotel has a variety of dietary requirement menu options including a full gluten-free section at breakfast. Please do not hesitate to contact us prior to arrival if you would like any further information.

  • Booking

    Can I cancel or amend my booking?

    Maldron Hotel Newcastle offers free cancellation up to 2.00pm 48 hours prior to arrival for almost all reservations made on maldronhotels.com or maldronhotelnewcastle.com. Some special offers and key dates may specify a special cancellation policy, these will be clearly outlined in the terms & conditions.

    Reservations booked via on third party websites and online travel agents have their own cancellation policies, please refer to your confirmation email.

    Do you take group bookings?

    Yes, groups can be booked directly with the hotel by e-mailing res.newcastle@maldronhotels.com or calling +44 (0)191 640 9500. Four adults can share a room.

    What age are children for the purpose of hotel packages?

    Children are designated as between 2 and 12 years of age. Children over 12 will be charged as an adult.

    Will my credit card be charged at the time of booking?

    Bookings require a credit card for guarantee only unless otherwise stated. No cash payment is allowed for bookings, we only take payment via credit card with photographic ID. For some special offers and specific dates, full payment is required at time of booking but these terms will be outlined in the special offer terms & conditions. No rooms will be let unless payment is guaranteed.

    Do you offer corporate rates?

    No, there is no gym in the hotel. However, the Gym Group Newcastle City is a 2-minute walk away.

    Is there somewhere to store my luggage?

    Yes, there is a luggage store at reception.

    No, pets are not allowed in the hotel besides assistance dogs.

    Yes, the hotel has 14 fully accessible bedrooms complete with wet rooms. Also, all public areas are wheelchair accessible.
