Northumbria University is a university located in Newcastle upon Tyne and was opened in 1894. The university caters for approximately 27,000 students today who thrive in 2 large campuses spread across Newcastle and London. The campus is divided into East and West. It is home to the schools of built and natural environment, engineering and information sciences, computing, arts and social sciences, and life sciences.
There are many facilities in and around the campus such as the Northumberland Street Deli, Zapatista Burrito Bar, The Five Swans bar, CCE Restaurant and Café, Sainsbury’s Local and Trillian’s Rock Bar. The university hosts lectures that are free and open to the public.
Coach Lane Campus
The Coach Lane campus is 4km outside of Newcastle city centre and is home to the school of health, community and education studies. There is a free bus that runs between the Coach Lane campus and the City Campus.
